“Gifted and charismatic songwriter” - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6

Rosie Miles is an alt-folk storyteller whose soaring melodies and poetic lyrics serve as her ink and pen. Inspired by Joni Mitchell, Madison Cunningham, and Laura Marling, her music dances effortlessly between the worlds of Indie, Folk & Jazz, evoking a welcome nostalgia of the 70s songwriter movement.

“Uncannily reminiscent of the Laurel Canyon greats…I could listen to it all my life”
- Lauren Down, Line of Best Fit

“Absolutely exquisite”
- Emily Pilbeam, BBC Introducing

“A voice that is hard not to fall in love with”
- Triste Magazine

Endlessly inspired by the songwriters, poets and writers of the late 60s/70s, her confessional lyricism exposes and explores familiar narratives with a shrewd vulnerability that is both comforting and deeply moving. Rosie’s band adds warmth and depth to her tunes, weaving lush guitars and jazz-inspired rhythms beneath her powerful voice and lilting refrains.

Known for her captivating performances blending powerful vocals and off-the-cuff anecdotes that make each show unreplicable, Rosie has performed across the country, including support slots for Tom Robinson, The Man The Myth The Meatslab, Rachael Lavelle, Sophie Jamieson, Rosie Frater-Taylor and O’Hooley & Tidow as well as Live at Leeds Festival. Longlisted for Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition 2025, her music has received funding and artist support from Music:Leeds Launchpad+ Programme, BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing as well as press reviews from KLOF Magazine, Babystep Magazine, Line of Best Fit, For The Rabbits and Triste Magazine.

After the success of her anthemic debut EP ‘Still Life’, which was an intricate and cathartic lament of her self-paralysis during the stillness of 2020, Rosie went back to the studio alone to record her most personal songs exactly as she had written them: with just her and her guitar. Released in January 2025, her sophomore EP ‘Meet You in the Morning’ sees her stripped back to the bare bones both musically and lyrically as she explores the quieter and more solitary side of grief, healing and friendship.
